Lung health set to be prioritised
07/12/2021
For the first time, lung health will be in the spotlight in the new 10-year plan for the NHS.
Respiratory will become a clinical priority area, meaning it will receive attention that it’s never had before. The plan will be prepared over the next few months and finalised in November.
We’ve already been feeding in our recommendations from the upcoming Taskforce for Lung Health report. We expect that there will be considerable overlap between the two plans.
The taskforce has been working out what is most important for improving lung health in England.
This means that we are in a great place to advise the NHS on what should be included in their plan and to ensure that your voices are heard.
